Crescent city The author The plot Why I love the book?	Sarah Janet Maas is an American author, known mostly for her debut novel "Throne of glass" and her series "A court of thorns and roses". Over the years she has sold more than twelve million copies of her books. She was born and has spent most of her life in New York. She even went to university there where she studied creative writing and minored religious studies. Sarah starts writing her first novel when she's only sixteen. She published it in a site for young authors and it became one of the most famous stories there with the tittle "Queen of glass". Later, when she published the novel with the name "Throne of glass" she removed it from the site. The series, which consists of 8 books, turns Sarah into a New York Times best selling author. Later, in 2015, she releases another series, which was written in 2009, with the name "A court of thorns and roses". Her latest releases is "House of sky and breath" - the second "Crescent city" book. In an interview she says movie scores and classical music are her writing inspiration.Her character development has been lauded as one of her best qualities of storytelling, with morally grey characters and strong world building.   Sarah is happily married with two little kids and a dog.
