Everything in her life is perfect until one night when all of her friends, a pack of metamorph wolves, are brutally murdered while she's out partying after a break up with her human boyfriend. Twenty two months after the murder, when Bryce has given up all the pleasures in her life such as alcohole, drugs and even dancing, a knock on the door at her workplace brings back the memories of the tragic night. Apperently, a man she had a business talk with the night before had been murdered the same way as her friends, which makes the "police" ask some questions. The head of the town makes her and Hunt Athalar - a slaver angel - work together to solve the mystery and promises the angel something very important in return. Hunt and Bryce go through many dangerous and heartbreaking situations, while trying to resist the spark between them.
